Beginning
My daughter left home this week, off to a new job in Windsor. She's been home all summer, since leaving university and now the house is quieter and tidier and that bit lonelier. On the bright side, however, I have fewer distractions - shopping, cake-baking, eating lunch - all my daughter's favourite activities - and so now I can get down to some proper, hard at it writing, something I've neglected this summer. I have two fledgeling novels on the go - can't quite decide between them. Perhaps this means I will shelve them both and think of something new and shiny and exciting.
